Hi, I’m Jane.
I’m an entrepreneur, writer, and teacher. I write about ways to increase your mental clarity, motivation, and passion for making wise financial choices. I investigate the link between living a life of purpose and financial empowerment. I’ve been interviewed as a financial expert by Forbes, The Huffington Post, and The Financial Diet. I contribute articles to Business Insider, The Observer, as well as the Thought Catalog, and I publish my own blog here.
I received my A.B. in government at Harvard University. My former life included being a portfolio manager for hedge funds and semiconductor analyst on Wall Street.
I share my findings every Sunday in my newsletter, The Mission Stories. I don’t know much about much, but I do know how money should play an active supporting role in your life.
My ultimate goal is to help you live better. So, I ask in all of my writings, how do you live now? And, what’s blocking you from moving forward?
Often times, people are frustrated with their financial situation. In an economy where median wages have been stagnant for more than a decade, you’re right to feel that way. Your ability to manage your own money well has become crucial. The days of relying on financial advisors to sell you a bunch of products are over.
So, I teach people how to become financially self-reliant, or financially free. However, that only represents half of my mission.
The other half lies beyond financial goals and even beyond the individual. I ask, what are the organizing principles that govern our ultimate success in creating a life we love and finances to support it with ease? What struggles do we share in getting there?
What are the most effective ways at achieving a deeply fulfilling financial life?
I hope you’ll join me in finding the answers to these questions.
The Daily Program: Tying Purpose With Money
This program is ideal for the person who accepts that changing your financial direction is easier said than done.
You’ve tried the inspirational stuff.
You’ve tried the beating-yourself-up stuff.
Nothing’s worked because you need a step-by-step guide. You learn in increments, like a human being. You want to be challenged, but not overwhelmed.
Tying Purpose With Money is a daily email program that guides you through small repeatable steps meant to raise your financial awareness. Through each lesson, you get into shape (financial shape, that is). Less waste, more intention.
At the end of the first month, you’ll have properly assessed your financial situation in detail and learned what’s off balance in your financial life. You’ll learn numbers.
From month two through five, you’ll be implementing the financial changes you need to shift your financial direction.
By month six, you’ll start to see the changes taking effect. And onward your financial learning will go.
You’ll be less stressed. You’ll probably feel more present in the other important areas of your life. Your emotional and mental health will improve.
You should know beforehand that you won’t change overnight, because real change is hard.
However, if you want:
To rebuild your habits;
Shift your financial beliefs about money and purpose; and
Learn the classic principles of building wealth in repeatable, small chunks;
This daily program may be for you.
Real change is possible if you’re willing to work at it with someone guiding you. Every day.
Please note: This is not an advanced finance class. The first year of this program teaches the foundations of personal finance towards a purpose.
